George L. Loucaides is Partner at Dr Andreas P. Poetis & Co and one of the historical members of the firm.
He undertakes cases involving Litigation, Arbitration, Banking,Commercial, Company, Contracts, Civil and Tax law. He is fluent in English, French and his native Greek. He studied at the City and East London College in 1975 and later at the P.A.T for his GCE preparation for his studies. He succeeded his advanced GCE in Economics, British Government Economics, Politics, Modern Greek and English. George is a genuine character and a charismatic litigator with extensive experience. During his career he successfully undertook legal cases that have changed the past-records of the Cyprus courts of Justice.
In 1980 he graduated from the City of London Polytechnic with LLB Law degree. In 1980 he moved in Florida where in 1981 he graduated his LLM from the University of Miami in the US. His academic specialisation relies on Private International Law, International Claims, Comparative Law, International Business, Insurance Law, International Arbitration, International Sales and Research.He served as the Legal Advisor and Secretary of Lloyd’s of London brokers, Lion Insuranse LTD from 1987 until 2001.
After his studies in the UK and the USA, he returned to Cyprus and started working as trainee associate at Dr Andreas Poetis. After his traineeship,he continued his career in our firm, where became Partner in 2001.
